On the invitation of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) ICFMH president Prof. Andreja Rajkovic has spent ten days participating in diverse events organized by UFRJ and partners, including https://print.ufrj.br/index.php/pt/, which was a major internationalization event organized by UFRJ and Research funding agency of the State Rio de Janeiro. In the aftermath of this even very concrete an focused thematic meetings have bene held with miscellaneous research teams in the field of food/environment/health science. The main host of Prof. Rajkovic was Prof. Carlos Conte, and the context of all meetings was to foster cooperation and research through international networking and joint research initiatives, and conrete elaboartion of the idea of organizing conference of ICFMH in Brazil in near future.
On June 7, 2025, the International Committee on Food Microbiology and Hygiene (ICFMH) proudly joins the global community in celebrating World Food Safety Day, under the theme "Food Safety: Science in Action."
